American indie rock band The Strokes have officially announced their 2026 “Reality Awaits” World Tour, a massive global run in support of their upcoming seventh studio album Reality Awaits, set for release on June 26, 2026. The tour marks the band’s long-awaited return with new music, following a six-year gap since their Grammy-winning album The New Abnormal. Produced by Rick Rubin, the new project introduces a fresh era for the band, led by frontman Julian Casablancas, while maintaining the signature sound that helped define 2000s indie rock.
The “Reality Awaits” World Tour will kick off in June 2026 and span North America, Europe, the United Kingdom and Japan, with a mix of headline arena shows and major festival appearances. The itinerary includes stops in cities such as Chicago, Toronto, Boston, San Francisco, London, Paris and Tokyo, as well as appearances at festivals like Bonnaroo, Outside Lands, Shaky Knees and Summer Sonic. The tour is expected to run through the fall, concluding with a final show in Dublin, Ireland.
Joining The Strokes on select dates are a diverse lineup of special guests, including Cage the Elephant, Thundercat, Hamilton Leithauser, ÖLÜM, Fat White Family and Alex Cameron, adding to the tour’s eclectic and high-energy atmosphere. Fans can expect a setlist blending new songs such as “Going Shopping” with classic hits like “Last Nite” and “Reptilia,” delivering a live experience that celebrates both the band’s legacy and their newest chapter.
