ABOUT: Kali Uchis is a Colombian-American singer, songwriter, and record producer known for her genre-blending sound and dreamy aesthetic. Raised between Virginia and Colombia, Uchis developed a multicultural perspective that deeply informs her music, which incorporates elements of R&B, soul, pop, reggaetón, and Latin influences.
She first gained recognition with her 2012 mixtape Drunken Babble, followed by the 2015 EP Por Vida, which showcased her unique style and earned her a devoted following. Her debut studio album, Isolation (2018), received widespread acclaim for its genre-defying sound and solidified her place in the music industry.
Uchis continued to expand her artistic range with her 2020 Spanish-language album Sin Miedo (del Amor y Otros Demonios), featuring the breakout hit “Telepatía.” In 2021, she won a Grammy Award for Best Dance Recording for her collaboration on Kaytranada’s “10%” and continued to garner critical and commercial success. Her follow-up albums, Red Moon in Venus (2023) and Orquídeas (2024), further explored themes of love, femininity, and cultural identity, cementing her reputation as a bold and visionary artist.
