Ne Obliviscaris 2025 Tour Info
Celebrated Australian progressive metal innovators Ne Obliviscaris are returning to North America this November and December for a headline tour that promises to be one of their most ambitious yet. The band will perform both their critically acclaimed albums — Citadel (now remastered for its 10th anniversary) and Exul — in full during their two-hour sets. Joining them on the bill are fellow metal heavyweights Rivers of Nihil, delivering their new self-titled album in full, and Aussie technical masters Psycroptic — making for a triple threat of progressive metal excellence.
The tour weaves through 27 North American stops from Denver (November 5) to Dallas, Houston, Austin, New Orleans, Pensacola, Tampa, Jacksonville, Greensboro, Baltimore, Brooklyn, and Boston, then up into Montreal and Toronto, across the Midwest through Joliet, Fort Wayne, and Minneapolis, and into Canada with stops in Winnipeg, Regina, Edmonton, Calgary, before heading west via Vancouver, Seattle, Portland, Roseville, San Jose, and concluding in Los Angeles on December 7.
Featuring new harsh vocalist James Dorton and original drummer Dan Presland, this run promises to be a definitive showcase of both melodic beauty and extreme intensity.

About Ne Obliviscaris
Ne Obliviscaris is a six-member progressive and extreme metal band from Melbourne, Australia, formed in 2003. Their music is distinct for blending death and melodic metal with classical, jazz, avant-garde elements, and impassioned violin lines — thanks largely to founding member Tim Charles, who handles both violin and clean vocals. Over the years, the band has developed a rich, multi-faceted sound built on complex compositions, emotional depth, and technical flair rooted in a diversity of influences including flamenco and jazz.
Their debut studio album, Portal of I (2012), helped lay the groundwork for their atmospheric and emotional intensity. It was followed by Citadel in 2014, Urn in 2017, and most recently Exul in 2023 — each project expanding their sonic ambition and narrative scope. Notably, for Citadel, the band pioneered crowdfunding to support a global tour, exceeding AUD 40,000 in just two days and eventually raising over AUD 86,000 — setting a milestone in fan-driven music support.
The lineup currently features Tim Charles (violin and clean vocals), Matt Klavins and Benjamin Baret on guitars, Martino Garattoni on bass, Daniel Presland returning on drums, and recent arrival James Dorton on harsh vocals. Their evolution — both in membership and musical output — has kept them at the forefront of progressive extreme metal, earning acclaim for blending high technicality and emotional passion in every release.
