Event Details
TOUR: Five-time Grammy and Emmy-nominated comedian Margaret Cho has announced her upcoming stand-up comedy tour, “Choligarchy,“ set to begin in October 2025. The tour marks a return to Cho’s roots in political comedy, promising an unfiltered and unapologetically raw show that confronts today’s cultural and political chaos head-on. In her own words, Cho says, ““We are being taken over by the richest people in the world… I want to fight fascism with everything I have. This will be my most blistering and brutally honest show yet.”
The Choligarchy tour kicks off on October 10 in Burlington, VT, and will run through spring 2026, concluding with a hometown finale at the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco on May 29, 2026. Along the way, Cho will perform in over 20 cities across the U.S., including Washington D.C., San Diego, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Minneapolis, Chicago, Portland, and Seattle. Each stop promises her signature mix of sharp wit, cultural critique, and personal storytelling.
Tickets are available now at EventsChaser and cost on average $70, including service fees. Secure yours early and avoid disappointment!
ABOUT: Margaret Cho rose to prominence in the 1990s with her trailblazing sitcom All-American Girl – the first U.S. network show to feature an Asian American family. Though short-lived, it broke ground for Asian American representation on screen.
Cho’s stand-up career took off with brutally honest, often controversial material addressing racism, homophobia, sexism, body image, addiction, and her personal struggles. Her specials like I’m the One That I Want, Notorious C.H.O., and Revolution established her as a singular voice in comedy – outspoken, provocative, and unafraid to take on taboo topics.
Beyond the stage, Cho has appeared in numerous TV and film roles, including Drop Dead Diva, 30 Rock, The Flight Attendant, and Fire Island. She’s also an Emmy nominee for her guest appearance on 30 Rock as Kim Jong-il.
In addition to her entertainment career, Cho is a passionate activist for LGBTQ+ rights, anti-racism, and mental health awareness. Cho identifies as queer and bisexual, and she has long used her platform to amplify voices often silenced in mainstream media. Her fearless blend of comedy and activism has earned her awards and honors from GLAAD, the ACLU, and the National Organization for Women.
