Heathers – The Musical Upcoming Events & Tickets

Heathers The Musical is hitting the road for its first-ever North American tour in 2027, bringing the darkly funny cult favorite to audiences across the continent following successful runs in London and New York. Based on Daniel Waters’ 1989 film starring Winona Ryder and Christian Slater, the musical features book, music and lyrics by Laurence O’Keefe and Kevin Murphy. The story follows Veronica Sawyer as she navigates the ruthless social hierarchy of Westerberg High, falls in with the school’s powerful trio of Heathers and becomes entangled with the mysterious and dangerous new student J.D.

The Heathers The Musical Tour launches May 15, 2027 at the Hippodrome Theatre in Baltimore, where it will play through May 22, before traveling to more than 35 cities over multiple touring seasons. Currently announced engagements include New Haven’s Shubert Theatre from June 1–6, Chicago’s CIBC Theatre from June 8–20, Charlotte’s Belk Theater from June 29–July 4, Greenville’s Peace Center from July 6–11 and Hershey Theatre from July 13–18. Additional cities and performance dates are expected to be announced as the extensive North American itinerary develops.

Audiences can expect the biting humor, rebellious energy and pop-rock score that have helped turn Heathers into an international musical-theater favorite. The show’s best-known songs include “Beautiful,” “Candy Store,” “Dead Girl Walking,” “Seventeen” and “Meant to Be Yours,” accompanying a story that tackles popularity, relationships and the darker side of teenage life with an intentionally outrageous edge. Following the New York production’s final extension through November 8, 2026, the Heathers The Musical Tour will take Westerberg High on the road for a new chapter beginning in spring 2027.
