Event Details

The 2026 Detroit Tigers season is set to be the organization’s 126th season and 27th at Comerica Park in Detroit as they compete in the American League Central under manager A.J. Hinch. The Tigers will open their regular season on the road in San Diego on March 26, 2026, with the home opener scheduled for April 3 against the St. Louis Cardinals. Before the regular season, Detroit also begins Spring Training play in February, hosting games in Lakeland, Florida as part of their Grapefruit League schedule.

Detroit’s roster for 2026 includes a mix of established veterans and key contributors who are expected to help push the Tigers toward another postseason appearance. The club retained All-Star infielder Gleyber Torres by having him accept a qualifying offer to stay with Detroit, while bolstering the bullpen with pitchers like Kyle Finnegan on a new two-year contract and adding experienced arms such as Kenley Jansen and Drew Anderson. Fans will also be watching stars like Riley Greene and Spencer Torkelson chase career milestones throughout the long season.
