ABOUT: In 2012, DeMarco released his debut mini-LP, “Rock and Roll Night Club,” on Captured Tracks. It was quickly followed by his first full-length album, “2”, which garnered critical acclaim for its laid-back style and quirky songwriting.

He became known for his “slacker rock” aesthetic and eccentric stage persona. His subsequent albums, “Salad Days” (2014), This Old Dog” (2017), and “Here Comes the Cowboy” (2019), further solidified his reputation for heartfelt lyrics, lo-fi production, and genre-blending sounds. In 2023, he released “Five Easy Hot Dogs, an instrumental album recorded during a road trip across North America.

DeMarco’s music is characterized by its mellow, vintage-inspired sound and DIY ethos. He cites artists like Jonathan Richman, Shuggie Otis, and Steely Dan as key influences. His relaxed approach and unique personality have made him a beloved figure in indie music.
