Event Details

SEASON PREVIEW: In their 106th NFL season, the Chicago Bears began a new era under first‑time head coach Ben Johnson, with Ryan Poles returning as general manager and George McCaskey as the team’s owner following Virginia Halas McCaskey’s passing on February 6, 2025.

Chicago enters the year eager to improve on its 5–12 finish in 2024, to snap a six‑year drought as NFC North champions.

After dismissing Matt Eberflus mid‑season and completing the year under interim coach Thomas Brown, the franchise chose Johnson to lead a rebuild focused on reviving its offense and supporting rookie quarterback Caleb Williams, the No. 1 overall pick from the previous draft.

ABOUT CHICAGO BEARS: The Chicago Bears are one of the oldest and most storied franchises in the National Football League (NFL). Founded in 1920 as the Decatur Staleys, they moved to Chicago in 1921 and adopted the Bears name a year later. Known for their tough, blue-collar identity and rich defensive tradition, the Bears have won nine championships, including one Super Bowl in 1985 under legendary coach Mike Ditka. That team, led by a historic defense and charismatic figures like Walter Payton and Jim McMahon, remains one of the most iconic in league history.

The team plays its home games at Soldier Field, located along the Chicago lakefront. It’s the oldest stadium in the NFL, though it was heavily renovated in 2002. The Bears have a passionate fanbase and one of the league’s most intense rivalries with the Green Bay Packers, a matchup that dates back over a century and is considered the oldest rivalry in professional football.

Throughout their history, the Bears have been known for dominant linebackers and defensive legends—players like Dick Butkus, Mike Singletary, and Brian Urlacher. In recent years, the franchise has been in rebuilding mode, looking to recapture past success. With a new generation of talent and renewed leadership, the Bears are aiming to return to playoff relevance and restore their status as one of the NFL’s premier franchises.
