TOUR: Punk rock pioneers Sex Pistols featuring Frank Carter have announced the rescheduled and expanded “50 Years of Punk” Tour across North America for fall 2026. After postponing their originally planned 2025 dates due to guitarist Steve Jones breaking his wrist, the band — now comprised of Jones, drummer Paul Cook, bassist Glen Matlock and frontman Frank Carter — will finally bring the celebration of five decades of punk rock energy to audiences across the United States and Canada. The tour marks a long-awaited return to North American stages and a salute to the band’s influential legacy.

The “50 Years of Punk” Tour is scheduled to begin on September 11, 2026, at the historic Longhorn Ballroom in Dallas, the site of one of the Sex Pistols’ earliest and most notorious U.S. performances. From there the run will visit a range of cities including Austin, Houston, Nashville, Kansas City, Toronto, Montreal, Philadelphia, Boston, Washington, D.C., Detroit, Seattle, San Francisco and Los Angeles, among others, carrying the band’s raw live sound into autumn. Fans can expect the group to perform their groundbreaking 1977 album Never Mind the Bollocks, Here’s the Sex Pistols in its entirety alongside other classics from their catalog.

Jones has shared that he’s fully recovered and ready to hit the road again, wrapping the tour around the broader “50 Years of Punk” celebration that includes both new and rescheduled dates. With most tickets from the original 2025 run honored for the rescheduled shows, longtime fans and new listeners alike have a chance to witness the band’s legendary intensity live, marking five decades since they helped ignite the punk movement.

ABOUT: With their raw, aggressive sound and rebellious attitude, the Sex Pistols played a pivotal role in the emergence of punk rock in the UK and around the world. Their music, fashion, and attitude represented a stark rejection of the established norms of the 1970s rock scene, reflecting the disillusionment and anger of British youth during a time of economic and social unrest.

The band released only one studio album, Never Mind the Bollocks, Here’s the Sex Pistols(1977), which remains a landmark in punk music history. Featuring iconic tracks likeAnarchy in the U.K.,” “God Save the Queen, andPretty Vacant, the album challenged authority and provoked widespread controversy, including bans by the BBC and other institutions.

Despite their short lifespan, the Sex Pistols’ impact was immense. Over the years, the Sex Pistols have reunited for occasional tours, most notably in 1996 for theFilthy Lucre Tour“. They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2006, although they refused to attend the ceremony. Their legacy endures as a symbol of punk’s raw power and anti-establishment ethos.
