Event Details

The 2026 Portland Timbers season is officially set to begin on February 21, 2026, when Portland hosts the Columbus Crew at Providence Park to kick off their 16th campaign in Major League Soccer. The full 34-game regular season schedule has been released, featuring a mix of Western Conference matchups and key rivalries, including Cascadia Cup contests against the Vancouver Whitecaps FC and Seattle Sounders FC throughout the spring and summer. All Timbers matches will be part of the broader MLS regular season running from February to November, and fans around the world can watch live on Apple TV as the club seeks success in league play and beyond.

Portland enters 2026 with a significant portion of its core roster under contract and a blend of veteran leadership and young talent ready to compete. The club exercised contract options for key players such as Diego Chara, David Ayala, Felipe Mora, and Trey Muse, and homegrown defender Sawyer Jura will join the first team on an MLS contract, reinforcing depth across the pitch. The Timbers also added new prospects through the MLS SuperDraft, selecting promising young players to join preseason preparations as the team builds toward another strong season at Providence Park. With preparation underway and the roster coming into focus, supporters have plenty to look forward to as Portland aims to make a meaningful run in MLS in 2026.
