Event Details

Texas-born singer-songwriter Jess Williamson will take her new music on the road in 2027 with the A Mile South of Heaven Tour, a North American headline run supporting her sixth solo album, A Mile South of Heaven. Arriving October 9 via New West Records, the album is Williamson’s debut for the label and was produced by Shooter Jennings at Sunset Sound in Los Angeles. Her most country-forward solo record yet, the project brings pedal steel, fiddle and banjo into her distinctive songwriting and includes tracks such as “Goodbye to All That,” “Country Mile,” “Tracking the Tropics” and the newly released “Hum of the City.”

The A Mile South of Heaven Tour begins January 11, 2027 at Haw River Ballroom in Saxapahaw, North Carolina, before traveling through Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, Boston, New York, Toronto, Detroit, Chicago, Milwaukee and Minneapolis. After a short break, Williamson heads west in February for shows in Denver, Salt Lake City, Boise, Portland, Vancouver and Seattle, followed by a run through California that includes Healdsburg, Sacramento, San Francisco and Santa Cruz. The tour concludes February 20 with a hometown-area finale at Pacific Electric in Los Angeles.

The upcoming shows will bring the expansive country and western textures of A Mile South of Heaven to the stage while also drawing from Williamson’s acclaimed catalog, including Time Ain’t Accidental and Sorceress, as well as the musical world she explored with Katie Crutchfield in Plains. No tour-wide special guest or opening act has been announced with the initial 2027 itinerary, with current listings focusing on Williamson and her new record. The tour arrives as she enters a new chapter centered on songs about home, ambition, love and finding fulfillment in the journey rather than an elusive destination.
