ABOUT: Twenty One Pilots gained a grassroots following with their self-released albums, including their debut self-titled album in 2009 and “Regional at Best” in 2011. Their major breakthrough came with the release of “Vessel” in 2013, their first album under Fueled by Ramen. The album featured standout tracks like “Holding on to You” and “Car Radio,” showcasing the duo’s emotional intensity and lyrical depth.
In 2015, Twenty One Pilots released “Blurryface,” which catapulted them to international stardom. The album included the hit singles “Stressed Out” and “Ride,” and made history as the first album to have every track receive at least a gold certification from the RIAA. Their 2018 follow-up album, “Trench,” expanded their narrative-driven universe and received critical acclaim for its ambitious themes and musical experimentation. The duo continued to evolve with albums like “Scaled and Icy” (2021) and have remained a staple in modern alternative music.
Over the years, Twenty One Pilots have received numerous accolades, including Grammy Awards and Billboard Music Awards, and they remain one of the most influential acts of the 2010s and 2020s.
