Trey Anastasio Band 2025 Tour Info

Guitar virtuoso and Phish frontman Trey Anastasio is back on the road with a full-sound experience this fall: the Trey Anastasio Band, in its eight-piece lineup, will embark on a North American tour this November. The trek begins with back-to-back shows at Mission Ballroom in Denver on November 14 and 15, before debut stops at The Astro Theater in La Vista, NE on November 17, and Val Air Ballroom in Des Moines, IA on November 18. From there, the band heads to The Factory in Chesterfield, MO on November 19, Andrew J. Brady Music Center in Cincinnati, OH on November 21, The Fillmore Detroit on November 22, Akron Civic Theatre on November 23, and Landmark Theatre in Syracuse, NY on November 25.

The most anticipated moments of the tour follow with three nights of Beacon Jams — a live, in-person celebration at New York City’s Beacon Theatre on November 28, 29, and 30. These performances mark the fifth anniversary of the beloved Beacon livestream series and will feature the full band, along with The Rescue Squad Strings.

This tour is especially meaningful — it’s the full TAB’s first extended run since 2023 and their first since the passing of their longtime horn section member, James Casey. Expect the powerful fusion of rock, jazz, and funk that defines TAB, rendered in dynamic live energy alongside stellar musicianship.

About Trey Anastasio Band

The Trey Anastasio Band (often abbreviated as TAB) is the long-running solo project of Trey Anastasio, best known as the lead guitarist and vocalist of the jam band Phish. Formed in the late 1990s, TAB gives Anastasio the space to explore musical territory beyond the structure of Phish, blending rock, funk, jazz, soul, and orchestral elements into a high-energy, genre-crossing live experience.

Unlike the improvisational quartet format of Phish, Trey Anastasio Band features a larger, more dynamic lineup. The full ensemble typically includes horns, keys, backup vocals, and percussion, creating rich, layered arrangements and tight grooves that fuel extended jams and emotional peaks. The band has gone through several lineup changes over the years, but long-time collaborators such as drummer Russ Lawton, bassist Tony Markellis (until his passing in 2021), and saxophonist James Casey (also sadly passed in 2023) were core contributors to the group’s distinct chemistry.

TAB has released several live albums and studio recordings, including Plasma, The Horseshoe Curve, and Traveler, showcasing Trey’s songwriting in a more soulful and groove-driven context. Songs like “Push On ’Til the Day,” “Cayman Review,” and “Money, Love and Change” are live staples that let the band flex both technical skill and emotional range.

Outside of touring, the Trey Anastasio Band has played a key role in fundraising efforts, particularly through the Beacon Jams livestream series, which supported Trey’s Divided Sky Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to addiction recovery. These shows not only raised significant funds but also deepened fans’ appreciation for the intimate, expansive potential of TAB’s music.

TAB continues to evolve with each performance, known for its deep improvisational pockets, genre-defying fluidity, and a sense of musical joy that connects deeply with its loyal audience.
