ABOUT: The Allman Betts Band is a Southern rock group formed by the sons of three legendary members of the Allman Brothers Band. Devon Allman (son of Gregg Allman), Duane Betts (son of Dickey Betts), and Berry Duane Oakley (son of Berry Oakley) came together to carry forward the musical legacy their fathers helped build, blending the classic Southern rock sound with their own modern edge.
Formed in 2018, the band quickly gained attention for its combination of heritage and fresh energy. Their music draws on the soulful guitar work, bluesy vocals, and jam-heavy arrangements that defined the original Allman Brothers Band, but with a contemporary twist that makes it resonate with today’s audiences. They released their debut album, Down to the River, in 2019, followed by Bless Your Heart in 2020 — both of which received praise for honoring the past while forging a new musical identity.
Beyond the music, The Allman Betts Band is known for their dynamic live performances, often featuring extended improvisations, heartfelt tributes, and a rotating lineup of talented guest musicians. Their annual Allman Betts Family Revival Tour has become a fan favorite, gathering a wide range of artists to celebrate the legacy of Southern rock and blues.
At its core, The Allman Betts Band is more than a tribute — it’s a continuation of a musical bloodline, powered by authenticity, deep roots, and a shared mission to keep the spirit of Southern rock alive and evolving.
