SEASON PREVIEW: The Buccaneers kick off their landmark 50th season under head coach Todd Bowles, fresh off their fourth straight NFC South title and looking to build on a 2024 playoff appearance.

Quarterback Baker Mayfield, who threw for 4,500 yards and 41 touchdowns last year, had his contract restructured to ease cap space, signaling the team’s commitment to him for the near term. With Mike Evans firmly anchored as the No. 1 receiver, the return of Chris Godwin — despite his uncertain Week 1 recovery from a dislocated ankle — alongside rising rookies like Emeka Egbuka and Jalen McMillan, has stirred excitement in the passing game.

Defensively, the Bucs added Haason Reddick and re-signed stalwarts like Lavonte David and Anthony Nelson to further buttress a dominant front seven, while third-year edge Yaya Diaby is drawing high praise at camp for strides in technique and explosiveness. A notable offseason storyline involves rookie DT Desmond Watson, who — if he can meet weight and fitness benchmarks — could become one of the heaviest players in NFL history and a situational force in short-yardage defense.

While the departure of offensive coordinator Liam Coen and uncertainty over Chris Godwin’s early timeline present challenges, Tampa Bay enters 2025 buoyed by continuity, veteran presence, and a young supporting cast hungry to push the franchise forward.

TICKETS INFO: Tickets for Tampa Bay Buccaneers 2025 home games are on sale now via EventsChaser, with NO hidden service fees. The average price for games at Raymond James Stadium would be around $70 per ticket for entry-level seating, not including premium seats or game-specific demand spikes. While this reflects a base average, actual costs vary: high-demand matchups and better seating can easily push resale prices into the $150–$250+ range, while low-tier tickets may occasionally start under $50.

Fans seeking an elevated experience can expect VIP club seating and hospitality packages typically starting in the $300–$500 range per ticket, which often include access to pre‑game tailgates, exclusive club lounges like the Hyundai or East Stadium Club, and enhanced food and beverage service. These packages usually feature padded premium seats and early stadium entry.

BUCCANEERS’ OPPONENTS: In 2025, the Buccaneers headline their season with divisional home-and-away games against NFC South rivals — New Orleans Saints, Atlanta Falcons, and Carolina Panthers. Their home slate also features non‑division opponents New England Patriots, Philadelphia Eagles, Arizona Cardinals, New York Jets, and San Francisco 49ers. On the road, Tampa Bay will travel to face Atlanta, Carolina, and New Orleans again, plus outings against the Houston Texans, Detroit Lions, Buffalo Bills, Los Angeles Rams, Miami Dolphins, Seattle Seahawks, and the interconference rematch with the San Francisco 49ers.

ABOUT TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS: The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are a professional football team based in Tampa, Florida. They compete in the NFC South division of the National Football League (NFL) and play their home games at Raymond James Stadium, known for its iconic pirate ship and loud, loyal fanbase. The franchise was established in 1976 as an expansion team and endured a rough start, going winless in their first season and setting an NFL record with 26 straight losses. Over time, the Bucs built a strong defensive identity that became the foundation of their future success.

The team’s first major breakthrough came in the early 2000s. Under head coach Jon Gruden, the Buccaneers captured their first Super Bowl title in the 2002 season, dominating the Oakland Raiders in Super Bowl XXXVII behind a ferocious defense led by legends like Derrick Brooks, Warren Sapp, and John Lynch. After a long playoff drought, the franchise experienced a resurgence in 2020, when it signed quarterback Tom Brady, who led them to a second championship in Super Bowl LV — played and won in their own stadium, a historic first.

In the post-Brady era, the Bucs turned to Baker Mayfield in 2023, and he exceeded expectations by helping the team win back-to-back NFC South titles. With Todd Bowles at the helm as head coach, the team is focused on maintaining a tough defensive identity while building around a balanced offense that includes veteran receivers like Mike Evans and Chris Godwin. As of 2025, the Bucs are entering their 50th season with optimism and a roster that blends experience and youth, aiming to remain contenders in a competitive NFC landscape.
