Event Details

Alternative rock legends The Smashing Pumpkins have announced their 2026 North American run, “The Rats In A Cage” Tour, celebrating the 30th anniversary of their landmark 1995 double album Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness. Led by Billy Corgan, the band will bring a special two-set concert experience to arenas across the United States and Canada, combining a celebration of the classic album with a second set featuring “unruly hits and dark treasures” spanning nearly four decades of the group’s career.

“The Rats In A Cage” Tour is scheduled to begin on September 30, 2026 in Columbus, Ohio, before traveling through major cities including Boston, Brooklyn, Pittsburgh, Chicago, Nashville, Austin, Denver, Las Vegas, Seattle, Phoenix and Los Angeles. The tour wraps in mid-November with a festival appearance at Darker Waves in Huntington Beach, California. The run also marks one of the band’s first extensive tours featuring guitarist Kiki Wong, who joined the lineup following the departure of longtime guitarist Jeff Schroeder.

Fans attending the shows can expect performances of songs from Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness alongside classics such as “1979,” “Tonight, Tonight,” “Bullet With Butterfly Wings” and “Zero.” Known for their ambitious live productions and emotionally charged performances, The Smashing Pumpkins continue to celebrate one of the defining albums of the 1990s while revisiting the broader catalog that helped shape alternative rock history.
