ABOUT: Seether is a South African rock band formed in Pretoria in 1999. Originally known as Saron Gas, the band changed its name to Seether in 2002 to avoid confusion with the deadly nerve agent sarin. The group’s core sound blends post-grunge, alternative metal, and hard rock influences, and they have become known for their emotionally intense lyrics and powerful guitar riffs.

The band gained international recognition with their 2002 debut album Disclaimer, which featured the hit single “Fine Again.” A reworked version of the album, titled Disclaimer II, was released in 2004 and included the breakout duet “Broken” featuring Amy Lee of Evanescence. This collaboration helped solidify Seether’s presence on the global rock scene.

Over the years, Seether has released several successful albums, including Karma and Effect (2005), Finding Beauty in Negative Spaces (2007), and Poison the Parish (2017). With a career spanning more than two decades, Seether continues to tour and release new music, including their 2020 album Si Vis Pacem, Para Bellum.
