Legendary post-punk pioneers Public Image Ltd (PiL), led by former Sex Pistols frontman John Lydon, are continuing their long-awaited return to North America in 2027 with This Is Not… The Final PiL Tour. Marking the band’s first North American tour in eight years, the extensive run celebrates nearly five decades of groundbreaking music and PiL’s influential legacy. Formed in 1978 following Lydon’s departure from the Sex Pistols, the band helped redefine post-punk by blending experimental rock, dub, dance, alternative music and unconventional songwriting. Fans can expect a career-spanning performance featuring material from landmark albums such as First Issue, Metal Box and Album, alongside songs from their most recent studio release, End of World.
Following a successful first leg in fall 2026, Public Image Ltd will return to North America in February 2027, with the newly expanded itinerary beginning February 12 at Chicago’s Vic Theatre. The tour continues through Omaha, Kansas City, Salt Lake City, Denver, Oklahoma City, San Antonio, Austin, Dallas and Houston before heading to Florida in March. Additional performances are scheduled in St. Petersburg, Fort Myers, Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, Ponte Vedra Beach, Charlotte, Louisville, Lexington, St. Louis, Indianapolis, Cincinnati and Columbus. The North American run concludes March 24 at Globe Iron in Cleveland, with the latest additions bringing even more cities into the band’s highly anticipated return.
California rock band Plague Vendor will join Public Image Ltd as special guests, bringing their energetic punk-influenced sound to the tour. The current PiL lineup features John Lydon on vocals, Lu Edmonds on guitar, Scott Firth on bass and keyboards, and Mark Roberts on drums. The upcoming shows follow the band’s renewed touring activity across the U.K., Europe and North America, as well as international performances scheduled for Australia, New Zealand and Japan in early 2027. With Lydon’s unmistakable stage presence, PiL’s adventurous musical catalog and Plague Vendor providing support, This Is Not… The Final PiL Tour offers fans another opportunity to experience one of post-punk’s most influential bands live.
