ABOUT: Mammoth WVH is a hard rock band formed and fronted by Wolfgang Van Halen, the son of legendary guitarist Eddie Van Halen. The band serves as a vehicle for Wolfgang’s musical vision and talent, showcasing his abilities as a multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, and vocalist. The “WVH” in the band’s name stands for Wolfgang Van Halen, while “Mammoth” pays homage to the original name of Van Halen before David Lee Roth joined the group.
Launched in 2021 with the release of its self-titled debut album, Mammoth WVH, the project revealed Wolfgang as a powerhouse musician, having written all the songs and performed every instrument on the album. The debut was met with critical acclaim and commercial success, with tracks like “Distance” and “Don’t Back Down” earning radio play and praise for their emotional depth and hard-hitting sound. Mammoth WVH quickly established itself as a live act, with a touring lineup that includes talented musicians handpicked by Wolfgang. The band has since toured extensively, both headlining and supporting major rock acts such as Guns N’ Roses, Metallica, and Alter Bridge.
The band’s sophomore album, Mammoth II, released in 2023, further solidified its place in modern rock. The album showcased a broader sonic range and continued Wolfgang’s evolution as an artist and producer, garnering strong reviews for its powerful riffs, introspective lyrics, and meticulous production.
