ABOUT: Lorde first rose to international fame in 2013 with her debut single “Royals,” which topped charts around the world and earned her two Grammy Awards, including Song of the Year. Raised in the suburb of Devonport, she showed early promise in literature and performance.

She signed with Universal Music Group at the age of 13 and began working with producer Joel Little, who helped shape the sound of her debut album, Pure Heroine (2013). The album received critical acclaim and solidified her status as a powerful new voice in pop music. Her sophomore album, Melodrama (2017), marked a shift toward a more emotionally intense and sonically ambitious style. It was widely praised and earned a nomination for Album of the Year at the Grammy Awards. In 2021, Lorde released her third album, Solar Power, which embraced a more mellow, introspective tone and drew inspiration from nature and spirituality.

Beyond her music, Lorde is known for her artistic integrity, minimal public presence, and strong opinions on fame and the music industry. She has been credited with reshaping modern pop with her introspective and often unconventional approach.
