ABOUT: Lainey Wilson is an American country music artist known for her bold lyrics, retro-western style, and powerhouse vocals. Born and raised in small-town Louisiana, Wilson grew up on classic country and Southern rock, which deeply shaped her sound. She began writing songs as a teenager and eventually moved to Nashville to pursue music full-time, spending years honing her craft before breaking through in a big way.
Her 2021 breakout album, Sayin’ What I’m Thinkin’, introduced her to a wide audience, but it was her 2022 single “Heart Like a Truck” and the follow-up hit “Watermelon Moonshine” that truly launched her into stardom. With a blend of traditional country roots and modern storytelling, Wilson’s music often explores themes of resilience, small-town life, love, heartbreak, and unapologetic self-expression.
She’s received major industry recognition, including multiple CMA and ACM Awards, and was named Female Vocalist of the Year and New Artist of the Year in 2022. Wilson also gained a new wave of fans through her role as Abby in the hit TV series Yellowstone, further cementing her as a multi-dimensional talent.
