About Josiah Queen
Born in 2003 in Clearwater, Florida, Josiah Queen grew up steeped in faith — his parents served as pastors, and a powerful encounter at a youth conference when he was just nine sparked his passion for worship and songwriting. His early years included humble beginnings, working roles such as a janitor and at a car wash in his childhood church, while dreaming of using music to share joy and faith with others.
Queen launched his recording journey in 2020 with the debut single “God of Miracles” and steadily built his presence as an independent artist. His first full-length album, The Prodigal (2024), soared to No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Christian Albums chart. The title track earned gold certification and a Dove Award nomination for Pop/Contemporary Song of the Year, while the album earned him a nod for New Artist of the Year. He followed up with a sophomore album, Mt. Zion (2025), blending folk-pop storytelling and acoustic warmth. It featured collaborations with artists like Brandon Lake and landed at No. 1 on Christian charts and within the top 5 on Americana/Folk charts.
Queen’s music resonates with authenticity and heartfelt conviction. His breakout single “The Prodigal” became a viral worship staple, amassing over 80 million global streams and sparking widespread social media engagement. He continues to craft songs that reflect his journey of faith — tracks like “I Need You More” and “Fishes and Loaves” reveal a tangible longing for spiritual depth, delivered with folk-infused melodies and relatable honesty.
