ABOUT: Gabby’s Dollhouse Live! is the stage adaptation of DreamWorks Animation’s hit preschool series Gabby’s Dollhouse, a show beloved by young children for its colorful worlds, catchy songs, and themes of creativity and friendship. The live production brings Gabby and her friends — like Pandy Paws, MerCat, Cakey, DJ Catnip, Kitty Fairy, Baby Box, and the mischievous CatRat — off the screen and onto the stage through a mix of live performers and large-scale puppetry that captures the playful, magical spirit of the series.
The story of the live show centers on Gabby discovering a magical acorn that can only grow with the help of a rainbow. When CatRat causes a “color cat-astrophe,” Gabby and her friends must journey through different worlds inside the dollhouse, including the Cat-O-Sphere and Mermaid-Lantis, to restore the colors. Along the way, kids in the audience are invited to sing, dance, and join in on the adventure, making the performance interactive and engaging for families.
Running about 75 minutes (with a short intermission), the show is designed with preschoolers in mind but is meant to be fun for the whole family. With vibrant sets, original songs like “Sprinkle Party” and “Hey Gabby,” and plenty of audience participation, Gabby’s Dollhouse Live! creates a larger-than-life experience that mirrors the show’s message: that curiosity, imagination, and teamwork can turn every problem into an opportunity for creativity and joy.
