Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra 2025-26 Season Info

The Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra has announced a bold and diverse 2025–26 season under the direction of Robert Spano, blending masterworks, guest stars, theatrical productions, and blockbuster film concerts. From classical giants to genre-bending performances, the new season showcases the orchestra’s artistic range and deep connection to its community.

The season begins in September with Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, a visually immersive production featuring dancers, projections, and music from Joby Talbot’s acclaimed ballet score. The program also includes Mozart’s “Prague” Symphony and sets the stage for a season that brings storytelling and symphonic artistry together. That same month, classic rock legends Ambrosia and John Ford Coley join the FWSO for a high-energy pops concert of radio hits and symphonic arrangements.

October offers a rich pairing of Mozart and Mahler conducted by Jane Glover, who also begins her tenure as the FWSO’s new principal guest conductor. Pianist Imogen Cooper performs Mozart’s final concerto, followed by Mahler’s lyrical Symphony No. 4, featuring soprano soloist Cecelia Hall. Meanwhile, Spano leads The Sounds of Paris, a French-themed concert with music by Berlioz, Ravel, Debussy, and Chopin’s Second Piano Concerto featuring Orion Weiss.

For families and young listeners, The Unicorn’s Birthday arrives in November — a storybook-style performance perfect for children, with narration, music, and audience interaction. Later that month, conductor Markus Stenz leads a program of Richard Strauss, spotlighting FWSO principals Stas Chernyshev and Joshua Elmore in the rarely heard Duet-Concertino for clarinet and bassoon.

One of the season’s centerpieces is the 2026 Gala Concert, starring violinist Gil Shaham, who performs Brahms’s Violin Concerto with Spano on the podium. In February, Spano also conducts Shakespeare at the Symphony, a dramatic program combining orchestral selections from Romeo and Juliet and A Midsummer Night’s Dream with live performances by actors from the Dallas Theater Center.

The orchestra also embraces film and pop culture with large-scale live screenings. Highlights include the Marvel Studios Infinity Saga Concert Experience, Walt Disney Animation Studios: A Decade in Concert, and a March event titled An Evening of Music and Art, featuring Spanish composers and artwork from the Kimbell Art Museum. Another standout is Glover Conducts FWSO Stars, a concert that highlights the orchestra’s own musicians as soloists in dazzling showcase works.

Closing the season in May and June are two rich, Romantic programs. Peter Oundjian leads a powerful concert of Brahms and Dvořák, and Spano returns to finish the season with An Evening in Finland, a Nordic-themed night featuring Sibelius’s Symphony No. 5 and a new percussion concerto by American composer Tyshawn Sorey. From blockbuster films to chamber gems, this season reflects FWSO’s dedication to excellence, variety, and artistic adventure.

Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra 2025-26 Tickets Info

Tickets for Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra 2025-26 live performances are available now through EventsChaser, with NO hidden service fees. Prices generally range from $70 to $150 for most classical, pops, and family concerts at Bass Performance Hall, depending on seat location, performance date, and program. Premier events — such as the Gala Concert with Gil Shaham or film concerts like Marvel Studios’ Infinity Saga — may reach $190 or more for premium seating due to high demand and multimedia production costs. Most mid-range seats fall between $80 and $135, offering a clear view and excellent acoustics in the hall’s orchestra and lower balcony sections.

The FWSO maintains flexible pricing across its season, with lower-cost seats often available in the upper balcony, particularly for weeknight performances or family-friendly shows like The Unicorn’s Birthday. Whether attending a major masterwork or a pops event, audiences can expect a wide range of price points designed to keep live symphonic music accessible to the Fort Worth community and beyond.

About Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra

The Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra (FWSO) is one of Texas’s leading cultural institutions, known for its bold programming, community engagement, and artistic excellence. Founded in 1912, the orchestra has evolved from a small regional ensemble into a fully professional symphony that performs year-round at Bass Performance Hall, one of the country’s most acoustically acclaimed concert venues. It serves as a vital part of Fort Worth’s cultural landscape, offering a wide variety of classical masterworks, pops concerts, family programs, and educational outreach.

Under the leadership of Music Director Robert Spano, the FWSO has expanded its artistic vision while continuing to champion both traditional repertoire and contemporary voices. The orchestra regularly collaborates with renowned soloists and guest conductors, and it supports emerging composers and performers through commissions and partnerships. From Beethoven to modern American works, its programming reflects a balance of innovation and tradition.

Beyond the concert stage, the Fort Worth Symphony is deeply committed to education and access. It reaches thousands of students annually through school concerts, youth programs, and community initiatives. The orchestra also performs at festivals and outdoor venues, including the popular Concerts in the Garden summer series. Through its performances, outreach, and regional presence, the FWSO plays a key role in enriching the cultural life of Fort Worth and the greater North Texas area.
