SEASON PREVIEW: The 2025 season marks the Cincinnati Bengals’ 56th in the NFL and their seventh under head coach Zac Taylor, with home games at Paycor Stadium. After back-to-back 9–8 seasons and missing the playoffs, Cincinnati enters the year with high stakes — and high expectations — for its elite offensive core.

The Bengals’ attack is once again led by quarterback Joe Burrow and star receivers Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins. Burrow has declared his wrist fully healed and says he feels at his best heading into camp, a promising sign for an offense built around his arm. Rookie running back Chase Brown has also drawn national attention, with comparisons to dual-threat stars like Austin Ekeler fueling excitement about his potential.

Defensively, questions remain. The focus is on retaining key pass rusher Trey Hendrickson while developing young players such as Shemar Stewart and Geno Stone under new defensive coordinator Al Golden. How quickly the defense gels could define the Bengals’ ceiling.

With their franchise core intact and a favorable schedule, Cincinnati is widely projected to contend for the AFC North crown and make a push for a deep playoff run in 2025.

ABOUT CINCINNATI BENGALS: The Cincinnati Bengals are a professional football team based in Cincinnati, Ohio, competing in the AFC North division of the National Football League (NFL). Established in 1968 by legendary coach Paul Brown, the Bengals quickly became a competitive franchise, reaching the playoffs several times in the 1970s and making their first Super Bowl appearance in 1981. They’ve appeared in the Super Bowl three times — in 1981, 1988, and most recently in 2021 — but are still seeking their first championship win.

The team plays its home games at Paycor Stadium, located on the banks of the Ohio River. Over the past few seasons, the Bengals have re-established themselves as a legitimate contender in the AFC, led by quarterback Joe Burrow, wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase, and a dynamic offensive core. Head coach Zac Taylor, who took over in 2019, guided the team to an AFC Championship in the 2021 season, bringing the Bengals back to national relevance after years of underperformance.

As of 2025, the Bengals remain a playoff threat with a powerful offense and evolving defense. While they missed the postseason the last two years, expectations are high with a healthy Burrow, a deep receiver group, and continued investment in both the offensive line and secondary. The franchise has embraced a tough, resilient identity and continues to chase its long-awaited first Super Bowl title, with a strong roster and a fan base eager for another deep postseason run.
