ABOUT: A Day to Remember was formed in 2003 in Ocala, Florida. The group’s music blends elements of pop punk, metalcore, and post-hardcore, crafting a distinct sound that has earned them a devoted global fanbase.
Their debut album, And Their Name Was Treason (2005), released on Indianola Records, gained underground traction and led to a deal with Victory Records. They gained widespread recognition with their sophomore album, For Those Who Have Heart (2007), and solidified their mainstream presence with Homesick (2009) and What Separates Me from You (2010), which showcased their ability to shift between pop-punk choruses and heavy breakdowns seamlessly. Albums like Common Courtesy (2013), Bad Vibrations (2016), and You’re Welcome (2021) continued to explore both melodic and heavy elements, showing the band’s willingness to evolve stylistically.
Despite facing legal battles with their former label Victory Records, A Day to Remember remained resilient, self-releasing Common Courtesy and maintaining creative control over their music. Their ability to straddle the worlds of mainstream rock and underground hardcore has set them apart as one of the most versatile bands of their era.
