Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater will once again embark on a sweeping national tour for the 2025–2026 season, bringing their electrifying blend of technical precision, expressive storytelling, and cultural resonance to audiences across the United States. As the company welcomes Alicia Graf Mack as its new Artistic Director beginning July 1, 2025, this tour marks a new chapter in Ailey’s legacy of innovation and inspiration.
The upcoming season features a coast-to-coast itinerary that continues Ailey’s tradition of connecting deeply with local communities through dance. In early 2026, the company will perform at the Warner Theatre in Washington, D.C., with multiple shows beginning February 4, 2026. Later in spring, they are scheduled for multi-night performances in Newark, New Jersey, with shows on May 8, 9, and 10, 2026 at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center. One highlight of the tour is a performance in Chicago on April 24-26, 2026, which is part of Ailey’s broader Midwest engagement.
